About Me

bnwI’m a Senior Lecturer in Digital Media at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. My interdisciplinary research has spanned Holocaust representation across various genres, women in film, surveillance cinema, mediations of rape, digital children’s television, social media and nonhuman animal ethics, transmedia storytelling, and gaming cultures. I’m intensely passionate about nonhuman animal welfare and human rights, and my current research and teaching interests focus particularly on digital media and gamification.
